POPS! Summer Singing Camp - INFORMATION

What is it?  POPS! Summer Camp includes four days of exciting music-making and performance instruction.  Students will develop singing, dancing, and staging skills to prepare a showcase performance.

Who can join? Perry Township students who are currently in the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grade 

Dates:
Camp occurs from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM on these dates:
  • Tuesday, May 30
  • Wednesday, May 31
  • Thursday, June 1
  • Friday, June 2

Showcase Performance Date: Friday, June 2 at 7:00 PM

Location: Perry Meridian High School, Auditorium and Choir Room

Instructors: 
  • Melissa Ai-Ling Walsh, Director of Choirs and Musical Productions at Perry Meridian High School
  • Meghan Walls, Assistant Choir Director at PMHS, PMMS, and PMA

Camp cost: $70.00 per student. ($35.00 for each additional sibling)

What is covered with this cost?
  • Four days of instruction
  • Daily snack
  • Show shirt
  • Usage of show music and production items (costumes, props, set pieces)
  • Two complimentary tickets to the Showcase performance (Additional tickets are $5.00)

Registration Deadline: Sunday, May 14 or until the Camp is full (50 student maximum)
Once registration is complete, students will be emailed information about submitting an audition recording.  This recording will be utilized to choose soloists and featured performers for the showcase.  It will not be used to exclude anyone from being a part of the camp or showcase performance.
